This Is All About Being ME!

Hey Pretty souls!πŸŒŸπŸ’«

Here is today's post as promised! πŸ’Œ

The title "This is all about being ME!"

(Because being real is rarer than being perfect)

Individuality — a word that barely exists in today’s world.

We teens have grown up in a generation, an era, where being yourself isn’t just difficult — for some, it feels almost shameful. Choosing yourself, without filters or fear, isn’t just hard… it feels nearly impossible.

We're constantly trying to match up — to dress like that influencer, think like that podcast host, glow like that perfect Pinterest pin.
And somewhere in this endless chase to “fit in,” we lose the one thing that makes us stand out — our truth.

Because let’s be honest: in today’s world, being valid often feels like being a carbon copy of someone trending.

There was a time when I was part of a friend group that looked perfect from the outside — constant selfies, coordinated birthday gifts, inside jokes.
But deep down? I always felt like the extra.

They’d laugh at things I didn’t find funny, tease me for my “deep thoughts,” and make plans without me more times than I could count.
Still, I kept trying — kept showing up, kept adjusting, hoping they’d finally see me for who I was.

Then one day, we were all sitting in the cafeteria, and the conversation turned to something I really cared about — something meaningful.
I started talking.
And one of them rolled their eyes and said,
“Can you stop being so intense? You’re always so serious.”

Everyone laughed.
And I did too. But that laugh wasn’t real.

That night, I stopped texting first. I stopped shrinking. I realised:
If you have to keep diluting yourself to be accepted — that’s not friendship. That’s performance.

It hurt. I felt alone for a while. But slowly, the right people found me — the ones who didn’t just tolerate the real me, but actually loved her.

But here’s me, standing tall and saying this with pride:
Being yourself confidently is a superpower.
It’s rare. It’s magnetic. And it’s bold.

To everyone reading this —
Being different, standing up for yourself, and simply being you in a world full of filters is a blessing.

Not everyone will like what you do, what you say, or what you wear — and you know what?
That’s totally okay.

Because your happiness is your priority.
And that matters more than fitting into someone else’s idea of “cool.”

Self-love isn’t selfish — it’s a necessity.
So the next time you feel out of place, remember:
You’re not “too much.”
You’re not “weird.”
You’re just unique — and that’s your greatest strength.❤️

I hope you all liked today's post. I would love to hear your take on Individuality. Lemme know in the comments! πŸ«ΆπŸ»

  1. Totally agree! I feel like it's so interesting we're all so different and yet we find people like ourselves, who we call 'our friends'! πŸ˜„
To be honest, individuality is a such an important concept, because even though we might wish to be like others, but it's so good to think that we're UNIQUE in our own way.
Also, I'd love to know where you get the inspiration for such great topics from...
    Lots of love! 🫢

    1. Thank you so much for this lovely comment!🫢🏻
You said it so beautifully — we’re all unique, yet somehow find people who just get us.
I’m so glad the post resonated with you.❤️
Honestly, I get inspired by random moments — things I feel myself, talks with friends, stuff teachers say in class, or even just asking people what they’d like me to write about:)
